It is my aim to coach our children to cultivate their self awareness and support them in developing self soothing skills. I truly believe mindful practice helps us to be smarter, happier, calmer and more tolerant and that any type of spiritual reflection (religious or otherwise) makes us more thoughtful and more resilient.

WHAT IS MINDFULMESCHOOL?
NEW WAYS OF WORKING: ONLINE MENTORING DURING ISOLATION
CHECK IN CALLS!
In order to assist Teens during this period of isolation we are offering a BRAND NEW online support service!
We will be offering twice weekly 20-30 min "check in calls" to students 12y-16yrs looking for additional structure and support at home.
These calls will be offered over Zoom as face to face workshops to discuss coping skills and strategies through this time of uncertainly. An opportunity to check in at the beginning and end of the week and share what’s happening in our emotional world.

WORKING WITH CHANGE
.BREATHE 4 WEEK COURSES (ONLINE)
.breathe is a programme of 4 lessons for 12/13yrs. This curricula includes very simple mindfulness practices and teachings on: self awareness, achieving our goals, causes of anxiety and stress, the impacts of puberty, social change, getting along with others.
As we know, developmentally, adolescence is a period characterised by considerable flux. We also now know that this is a period of significant neurodevelopmental change, characterised by the second most dramatic period of structural change in brain architecture after infancy. .breathe aims to support 'tween" children at this key time of change.
This course focuses on the transition and growth from early years toward navigating independence and a unique identity of our own.
A great course for those children working to maintain some structure whilst in isolation and develop some amazing life skills.
FINDING A STEADY PLACE
PAWS B 6 WEEK COURSES (ONLINE)
Frequently utilized by most of our children, this service has been developed to create a safe and secure "practice" environment where a small group of children, aged 7-11 yrs can share ideas and thoughts and practice mindful awareness. Mindfulmeschool will provide a comprehensive 6 week programme covering the following:
Specific areas of the brain and how these affect our ability to focus, make good choices, recognise when we need to steady ourselves when our body or mind is busy or out of balance.
Ways that mindfulness can support them in many day-to-day activities, including concentration and memory, behavioural self management, and in relationships with family and friends.
Ways to respond rather than react – and therefore make better choices and take best care of ourselves.
The feedback from children who have taken part in Paws b is very positive. They report enjoying the lessons and find the learning supports them in a broad range of situations from being able to concentrate and focus more easily in school to helping them feel calmer in exams and competitions. Many have described sharing the learning with other family members and finding it helps them with their relationships with family and friends.

DEEPER WORK FOR DAILY LIFE
1:1 SUPPORT/ GETTING TO KNOW YOU WORKSHOPS (ONLINE)
One to one support can be useful for children who feel overwhelmed in a group setting and who would prefer to take a course independently. Or as a means of developing a bespoke mindfulness practice focussing on specific areas of worry or concern. These workshops begin with an opportunity to taste-test the mindfulness tips and tools available from Mindfulmeschool with a flexible 1hr session to road test their mindfulness journey.
